Ardi'ol

In the Kimberley, our communities currently face major challenges that can prevent our young people living full and rewarding lives. This includes lack of support for physical and mental health, educational barriers, lack of employment and the pressures which work against the maintenance of our culture.

We will not stand by and let this happen!

Ardi’ol is a social enterprise, with a clear intention of giving back to our people and community. Our future wellbeing depends on the urgency to preserve what we know and hold true, having strong connections within, and beyond our communities while building a cultural wellness economy for ourselves.

We are a team of three, supported by our Bardi elders as cultural advisors.

About the logo

Ardiol-logoArdi’ol is a clan group of the Bardi tribe. It covers the areas of Ardyaloon Community, from Baninygoon (West) to Lirramarr (North).

The logo is our family’s traditional design carved on a pearl shell, this is called a ‘Riji’. It was handed down to our family over 100 years ago, and is six generations old. We still use it in our traditional ceremonies today, as it represents who we are.
